Hiroko Part II

Hiroko, like stated below, relies on the wonderful public transportation of SEPTA.

Public transportation is a big part of Hiroko's life. In order for her to get to school each day, Hiroko has to take the 38 bus and the subway. The trip usually runs about 40 minutes to an hour.

So I was trying to shoot a silhouette or Hiroko opening her window blinds but it didn't exactly work. However, I still really liked the shot. Hiroko's house is dimly light so the sun is often used for that extra touch.

On the way over to her apartment, Hiroko warned me that nothing in the house represented her. Well for some reason, I don't think that this lighting display was Gary's. I don't know what grabbed my attention about this but I loved it.

Hiroko has such an awesome mom. Every so often she sends over a package to help keep Hiroko and Gary well fed. I tried some of this stuff and it was super good. Who would've thought dried sweet potatoes wouldn't make me sick?

Alright folks. This dude here is Gary. Gary is not only Hiroko's roommate, but he is also her drum coach. He's a pretty cool guy. He built a recording studio in their house and has jam-band sessions all the time.

In her spare time, Hiroko likes to slam sticks on plastic things. She made some pretty cool sounds come from that contraption. Who would've thought she was so musically gifted.
